I made it through Thing-a-Day for another year! Yipee! It's so much fun. I'm just sorry that my momentum takes a nosedive come March 1st.
Day 17 -
"Keeese me, Babeee!
Umpteen beads and no two the same color! Must be Kiss-met!
This is the Purl Frog from purlbee.com. "
Headed out for Charlotte, NC in the pre-dawn hours to go to a swim meet! The only thing I'll be making over the next four days is a complete fool of myself as an overzealous swim mom!
"See" you Monday! Happy crafting!"
Day 23 - "Hoo!...I say Hooo has some Rolaids?
I knew I shouldn't have eaten that Pepit-hoo! The only thing fresh about that rat was his mouth!
This is my take on the stuffed owl I found at this site: http://www.womansday.com/Articles/Crafts/Sewing/Owl-Sewing-Craft-Project.html
Day 24 - "The Cub Scout Blue and Gold banquet is this Saturday so my Things-A-Day will be costume-based between now and then. It's a western theme so....
From these:
I made this:
I've just got to work on that brim a bit. It still says "City Slicker" and not "Howdy, pardner!" I'm hoping some steam will do the trick. I am quite pleased with my paper "turquoise" beads though!"
Day 25 -"It's a Shirt Mash-Up!
To go along with the cowboy hat I embellished yesterday, I needed a cowboy shirt!
Thank goodness for dollar days at our local Goodwill store!
Day 26 - "This is not what I intended to do today, but it was too perfect!
When I saw this clock on Patricia Zapata's blog, I had to stop everything and make it THAT MINUTE!
AND I had the right materials to make it! How often does that happen?
Then I had an epiphany! This is going to be the perfect gift for my son's den leader!
Before the Cub Scout banquet tomorrow, I'm going to have each of the boys in the den write a little "thank you for all the time" their leader puts into scouting on the front of the clock. This is going to be so great! I can't wait to give it to her!"
Day 27 - "For the western-themed banquet today, I decided to be a cowgirl. Well, girl cow is probably more like it.
I played in the recyling bin and made this hat a la the Recyclasaurus I made for Michael a couple of Halloweens ago. (Where does the time go!)
Day 28 - "Simone of craftevolution.com hosts a swap for those playing Thing-a-day. I knew the person I had been given was a crocheter so I made a roll-up crochet hook storage bag. I really hope she likes it!"
I'm tired and my craft room is TRASHED, but I can't wait until Thing-a-Day next year!
