I can't believe that it was only a couple of weeks ago that I was going on and on about sleet and cold. That's Florida for you: If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes, it will change.
Recently, I was gifted with several bags of clothes gleaned from my girlfriend's closet. There were some real treasures in there...the rest went to a charitable organization. I was absolutely tickled pink to find these jeans that must have been her son's contribution to the cause!
Between Liam's old jeans and scraps from some pajama pants I made for Lizzy, I cobbled together something I have long wanted: My very own, customized, gardening apron! I even made sure it wrapped around far enough to catch the area where I am most likely to wipe my hands.
That's Cu-pig, a Valentine's Day gift from a couple of years ago, modeling my apron for me.
Even though most things are brown and disgusting, there are a couple glimmers of hope in the garden.
That's one thing gardeners need plenty of: Hope.
