He's Baaaack!

If I see this snake one more time, I think I'll have to name him.

Today, he was in the back of my gardening shed stalking that nasty tree frog that keeps trying to attack me every time I open the shed door. Needless to say, I was rooting for the snake!

After much thought, the poor guy just couldn't figure out a way to get around to the frog. I missed the shot of him finally throwing himself around the lip and striking the frog on the head. The frog screamed twice and jumped right at me! I then screamed and just about dropped the camera! A classic "Funniest Video" moment.

Hmmm, something about that last picture reminds me that there's a McCain/Obama debate tonight!

It's Not Easy Being Green

It seemed like a good idea at the time: Head to the municipal mulching facility and get a load of mulch.
After all, that's why I have Agnes. Right?

And then the inevitable happened: I got home and then I had to UNload the mulch.

All I could say was "What WAS I thinking?"

After the Lovin'

I no longer think of my pond as just a pond. It has become the hot spot for wildlife copulation. If it's not the frogs, it's the snakes and now the fish have joined in the fun.

 

First they zip around with the poor female being either sandwiched against the side of the pond or between the two randy males. This goes on for the greater portion of the day. Once they stop splashing about, they retreat to the bottom of the pond.

I can't say that I blame them because the top of the pond looks as if it's had soap poured into it.

Well, I hope they're smiling!
