It's been a tough couple of weeks at school for The Beav. Did he learn anything from all the really crappy choices he's made? Only time will tell, but I sure hope so. I'm just too old for this shit.

Had an O dark thirty start today with a drive to West Palm Beach for the first round of tryouts for a summer travel team. The Beav is the youngest of the group, but this is good experience for him. One of the too many so called good experiences we, as parents, provide for our kids. (Hang on while I stifle that rant which is screaming to get out again).

This is a good learning experience. The Beav must eventually realize that sometimes you don't make the team, don't get the award. It ain't Little League anymore where everyone gets on a team. It's not elementary school where everyone gets an award even if it's the Citizenship award. Life is tough and if you want something, really want something, you have to work hard for it. 10. What a joke!
I hope he does okay. Doesn't throw wild. Gets at least one good hit. He looks so baby faced out there and being the youngest is last for everything. They are lined up by age or height or possibly the look of desire in their posture and expression. Whatever it is, he's at the end of the line.
