Old-fashioned

Great timing! I just received copies of some old family photos and this one of my grandmother and her brother just seemed to fit the bill.

Shoes

First, refer to number 8 of this post.

I have to admit that I was guilty of coveting those shoes.

Those shoes would make me lose 30 pounds, buy a white sheath dress and go out on the town to drink cosmopolitans.

Alas, but it was not meant to be.

Iphotoiphotomailtmp85Nyatapola Temple, Taumandhi Square in Bhaktapur, Nepal.

This is an amazing five-story pagoda which was built in 1702  by King Bhupatindra Malla.

This is the tallest temple in the Kathmandu valley at 30m high. It was so well built that it withstood an 8.3 earthquake in 1934.

I never actually got to touch one of the yaks, but I brought six balls of yak yarn back from my trek to Nepal.

While the yarn is soft, I just loved the coats of these beasts of burden.
